wonderful... I always have a tricky time getting those shots... but I love 'em enough to always try!

It was tricky. Being that it was a refractor telescope with no moon filter and no camera attachment. Which meant I had to do a lot of maneuvering with 2 tripods, bumping the camera up to the telescope, adjusting the exposure time, while the moon quickly moved out of scope. Not to mention choosing a time when the moon was near full, on a clear night.
It irks me because I used to have a better reflector telescope, with a moon filter and a camera attachment... but alas it was damaged (a dent in the side) and now more than a quarter of the view has distortion. :(
Still, I've always been fascinated with the moon.
