I actually took a tour of the power plant back in the late 80s, on a school field trip with my environmental science class. We also went on a field trip to a local sewage treatment plant. I think everyone should take tours of both. (Local to them, of course.) (posted for Photo Friday, "Power")
Great Chloe. That is so awesome.

I should've probably mentioned that the nuclear power plant is about 30 miles from where these photos were taken. That is, Wilkes-Barre is about 30 miles from Berwick. (Not exactly sure how many miles, exactly, between the power plant and these locations, of course.)

Very good shots, although it's quite ominous and unsettling.

I think Memento's is my favourite so far - that was a cool choice.

When I was living in the South, I could see the sky a little clearer. I love cloud formations and you've done a great job!

The shadow in the sky is what trips me out. Very cool.

Oh, I know, the shadow seems... I don't know what to say about it. But I noticed it too as seeming almost weird.

Cool photos! Yes, the colours are quite similar to those in my photo, I guess we must have taken them at the same time of day. That must be one huge cloud if you took the photo from 30 miles away! Wow!

Since both of my photos were taken in summer, I'm assuming that perhaps the humidity or whatnot had something to do with the cloud being so cohesive as to grow to that size. I don't know.
I do suspect that a lot of people so far away from the plant don't realize what has caused the cloud.
