ABCNEWS.com : Rush Limbaugh Going Deaf Rush Limbaugh, who's been delighting conservatives and enraging "feminazis" and other liberals for 14 years with his right-wing radio talk show, told listeners today that he is going deaf.
I've wondered why Rush Limbaugh is always yelling at everyone. It never occurred to me that it could be because he's been going deaf!
If he has to discontinue his show now, maybe I could fill the slot with my own show, where hard-of-hearing elderly relatives argue with each other. (link via Paul E. Ester's Flogger)
I read that one of the side effects of OxyContin, one of the drugs Rush is supposed to be addicted to, is severe hearing loss.

That idea was kind of pushed on Paul E. Ester's site... where I saw all 3 articles together - about Limbaugh's hearing loss, the link between narcotics and hearing loss, and Limbaugh's narcotic problem. And this morning I heard the news say it could be linked. Actually, when I saw that link on Ester's site, that was the first I'd ever heard about Limbaugh's hearing problems. And I mean, as soon as I saw that - his shouting jumped to mind. I couldn't help but poke a bit of fun there - he's always yellin' about something and that could be the explanation! As for the drugs... I would've thought he needed valium or some kind of tranquilizer, the way he's all fired up all the time. If I thought he was poppin' any pills, I would've assumed he'd be popping nitroglycerin to stave off the heart attack he must be heading for with a disposition like that!

The man who conceived of 'Big Brother' never knew what was coming down the line. Thought his filthy creation was going to be watching us, but it is us who watch it. There's one in every living room. And the monstrous injustice of it is, we stare at it of our own free will.
