Play at being a witness with a police sketch artist on-line

Ultimate Flash Face
A Flash tool supposedly similar to those used by computer police sketch artists when interviewing a witness to a crime.
The nonist wasn't too terribly impressed with the options, but suggested that people could use this thing to make composites of their dream date, for use on dating service web sites.
So I had a go at it, but for some reason mine kept coming out with a uni-brow and a pencil mustache, not to mention mad scientist hair. Clearly this is a problem with the functionality of the tool.
But this isn't my only grounds for criticism, of course...

composite sketch

passport photo
I tried my hand at the self-portrait thing, and I thought I'd use my very bad passport photo as a guideline, since it looks like a mug shot or a bad rendering anyway. The hair was the first problem. The eyebrows & nose weren't so bad, but not too close either. Perhaps someone else would have better luck because I'm not objective enough. But I don't think it looks like me at all, and I really tried.

Of course I've been told I look very different in various photos of myself. I'm not sure why that is. But all of these self-portrait photos (below) were taken in the past year and I'm much happier with them than I am with my passport photo. (Heck, I'm happier with the composite sketch for that matter.)

(Thanks for the tip - the nonist, who thinks the tool can be used for religious figures as well)

the drawing is kinda close, but the chin is a bit off..

Yeah, the chin choices were extremely limited. It seemed that all the non-squared chins were pointy or way too long, or too narrow, or too wide.
The nose was the only thing that was very appropriate. But then, I've always said it, my nose is the only "perfect" body part I have! haha. Quite symmetrical, and very average.
Someone who knows me (in-person), said she wouldn't recognize me from the sketch... and that was kind of the point I thought.
But then, people often seem to be unsure whether I'm the same person pictured on my driver's license. And heavens, I hope I don't look like my passport photo!

This is a fun game for people who have a hard time with faces: creating your own face without reference to a photo or a mirror. I did, and then overlaid the result onto a photo of myself, and had about a 99% match. Now, the trick is to do it with someone else's face from memory. I fear I will fail miserably.

So you think I would've faired better had I not used a photo...
Well, I started out doing that, and then realized that I kind of avoid looking in mirrors, and I'm not sure how someone would describe me! And though I have photos of myself, the only ones I ever seem to like are the ones I've taken myself.
I think I'm hopelessly inaccurately biased as to how I really look!
I think I'd be much better at doing a description sketch of someone else.
But after reading about your "Prosopagnosia", Harold, I definitely don't want you having a go at describing my faults. haha. ;)

The man who conceived of 'Big Brother' never knew what was coming down the line. Thought his filthy creation was going to be watching us, but it is us who watch it. There's one in every living room. And the monstrous injustice of it is, we stare at it of our own free will.
