Michael Paulukonis' "* Not Elite Art", which Chloe bought as a gift for Neil W. at the "Little Bits of Art" exhibit at the AFA Gallery in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

This guy does some fantastic work with stained glass, but do you really call this art? I'm not sure where the line is when people talk about art. I guess if you like it that's enough ... no more is needed! Some thought this guy was crazy, but no doubt genious and my personal fav ...

Well, I should correct and clarify that it's Michael's parents who do the stained glass (Thus the same last name.)
As for this piece... I actually purchased it on a lark for a guy who had just the night before told me I should not expect to see any "elite art" in his home, because decorating wasn't his thing.
I think the words say it all - it's not elite art - and that could be taken to mean it's not art... but that would probably make it art in & of itself, wouldn't it? (heehee)

Perhaps I could also point out that I made it in response to an acquantaince who, after one of my performances, accused me of only making "elitist art."
Perhaps he was right, after all....
Dali was one of early art loves; I do recall, however, that Andre Breton pointed out his name anagrams neatly into "Avida Dollars."
