Sunday May 13 2007
A sign along Hurricane Ridge Road in Olympic National Park, Washington.
Sign says the following:
"In clear weather you can see Canada and the volcanic peaks of the Cascade Mountains. Visibility here is becoming increasingly impaired, however, by pollutants from sources including industry, wood stoves, and the automobiles we drive."
"Simply to see a distant horizon through clean air... is wealth enough for one afternoon." - Thoreau
