Area book clubs will raise money for the Scranton Women's Resource Center on Oct. 17 at the Tudor Book Shop, at an event featuring Karen Blomain, author of A Trick Of Light.
The Icebreakers Book Club of Clarks Summit will host a Community Book Club event on Oct. 17 at Tudor Book Shop, Clarks Summit from 7-8:45 p.m., where several area book clubs will gather to meet regional author Karen Blomain and discuss her book A Trick Of Light. Book club members and other guests will be asked to make a contribution of any size to the Scranton Women's Resource Center, which is refurbishing its modest library.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to read A Trick Of Light in preparation of the event. Copies of the book are available at the Tudor Book Shop. The evening will include a reading and question /answer session with Ms. Blomain as well as an opportunity to mingle with the author and other guests in a casualatmosphere. Tudor BookShop features a café.
Reservations are strongly encouraged. The event will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Please plan to arrive early.
