Cafe Rouge
Their flyers declare "What Wilkes-Barre has been waiting for!" Indeed! If you haven't yet visited, go enjoy an iced mint mocha at the Cafe Rouge. Wednesdays feature open mic poetry night hosted by Jim Warner, Thursdays are open mic music (last week's array of local musicians was fantastic!) and Saturday they have live jazz. After the 4th, Tuesdays will become foreign film night. The seats are comfy (both outdoor and indoor), the company is friendly and the iced coffee drinks really cool you down in this miserable heat. Cafe Rouge is adjacent to Katana in the midtown shopping plaza - 41 S. Main.
