New blog, new forums

The NEPABlog has been switched from the Blogger blogging tool to the MovableType blogging tool.
While I was at it, I redesigned the site a bit. And added the Discussion Forums
Check it all out.

Hey, is it hard to install Movable Type? I'm kinda interested in doing it.

I wouldn't call it easy. You can see the user manual, which NEPABloggers can also access through the control panel's "help" button link, to get an idea of what's involved.
For this site (which includes the photoblog) I had to make 19 MT templates.
I would say it's more time-consuming more than difficult. It took me several hours, over a week or so, of work to make the switch. And I have quite a bit of experience w/ HTML and some experience w/ CGI.
Also, I think it behooves a person to use PHP includes for repeated stuff in a site's design (like navigation & headers), so that one doesn't have to go and change the same thing in a bunch of different templates in MT every time they want to change it. NEPABlog has over 15 html files inserted via PHP includes, to make updating things easier for me.
NEPABlog, is, of course, a bit more complicated than most blogs - my other blogs were a bit easier to do.
And I'm big on taking the extra time in the first place to make things easier & quicker in the long run.
That said, I think it's worth it, if you have the time & interest.
And, of course, feel free to contact me if you switch to MT and have any questions.
