Summer Film Series
Posted at KirbyCenter.org The Emporor's New Clothes
This is a "what-if" movie. What if Napoleon had arranged for a double to impersonate him on St. Helena, so he could sneak back to Paris to reclaim his imperial status? In a sly, deadpan performance, Ian Holm's Napoleon is a dark, glowering, slightly ridiculous figure puffed up with his own self-importance who finds having to pass as a commoner unbearably humiliating. Rated PG. 107 minutes.
All films shown at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $4 for matinees and $6 for evenings. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Summer Film Series
Posted at KirbyCenter.org Lucky Break
From the director of The Full Monty comes this tale of a bank robbery bungled beyond belief, resulting in the imprisonment of the two burglars - whose love of liberty is such that they set about devising a plan to escape. This includes an amateur musical theatrical production to raise morals (not to mention a smokescreen for the escape). Like The Full Monty, this will raise your spirits. Rated PG-13. 107 minutes.
All films shown at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $4 for matinees and $6 for evenings. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
